Chasing a Giant Monster

Marianna Gorelova

In this story, we find ourselves in the minuscule world of insects and learn how to draw the beauty that is too small for our eyes to see.
(8+)

When we invented the magic microscope, which could shrink us to the size of an ant, we could never have guessed what dangers await us on the enormous red planet, i.e. just a red apple hanging off a tree in a garden. A small spider accidently got hit by the rays of the magic microscope and turned into a giant, but we remained tiny. While we chase the spider in order to save the city from huge spider webs and return to our normal size, we don’t forget to also paint the magnificent world of enormous butterflies, berries and leaves.

We learn how to draw with pencils, paints and glazes, how to decorate wooden jewelry boxes with berries and how to mold cities with skyscrapers out of wax.
